Old Fashioned hayrides take you from location to location

The 2008 Fortuna's Apple Harvest Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Park your car at any location, hop on the hay wagons and enjoy a leisurely ride to the next stop. Take all the time you want at each location to enjoy the shows, shop or browse; there'll be another hay wagon along every twenty minutes to transport you to the next location or back to your car.

Apple Harvest Hay Wagons run from 10:30 AM to 4 PM and the Apple Harvest Express Bus operates from 1 to 5 PM. The route is from Rohner Park to Downtown to Clendenen's Cider Works to Redwood Village Shopping Center and back to Rohner Park.

The 24th annual Apple Harvest festival T-shirts are available Downtown and at Clendenen’s. Festival shirts are $15-16.

At Rohner Park

Eel River Valley Family Health and Resource Fair, presented by Redwood Memorial Hospital- testing and information for all ages.
- 7 am - Noon Low Cost Testing Complete Blood draws (must fast for 12 hours), prostate, bone density testing
- 9 am - 2 pm Health, Wellness & Resource Fair information booths and low cost testing
- Noon - 2 pm Disaster Preparedness Fair – Local safety personnel teach you how to prepare.
10 am – 4 pm - Dutch Oven Cook-off (judging at 1pm) samples $5 donation
10 am – 4 pm Yard Sale- Proceeds benefit Parks and Rec scholarships and programs
10 am - 4 pm Big Park Variety Sale
10 am – 4 pm Bake Sale- for CSEA scholarship program
10 am – 4 pm Rock-a-Thon for St Jude’s Children’s Research Center
10 am – 4 pm Results Fit Camp demos from the fastest growing Parks and Rec Class
Noon Live Music by “Melange”–on the Park Stage
Noon – 4 pm Refreshments– Cookshack – benefits Fortuna Middle School
Noon - 4:30 pm Depot Museum
5 – 8 pm - Apple Harvest Skate by Parks & Rec – $4, Firemen’s Pavilion

11 am - 4 pm - Barbecue Beef Tri-Tip Sandwiches & Drinks Humboldt County Cattlewomen's Association

11 am - 4 pm Clendenen's Applewood Barbecue featuring:
the new All Local Burger featuring local tomatoes, buns, lettuce, cheese and grass fed beef & the Big Dog, a sausage with onions and peppers, both barbecued over Clendenen's apple wood.

10 am- 4 pm - Apple Orchard Haywagon Rides Narrated tour of the Clenden's apple orchard in continuous production since 1869.
